POWER FACTOR CORRECTION
There are 2 types of current received by an electrical user. The one is channelled to produce useful work and the other is used to create magnetic fields. The client is charged for both by their service provider. Power Factor Correction equipment generates the current needed to create magnetic fields required by an electricity user. The service provider in this case no longer needs to provide this current, saving the client by as much as 30% on their electrical bill.
We monitor your electricity usage with a sophisticated data logger which, over a period of time, allows us to better understand your power consumption and power factor constraint. We also consider physical constraints (available space to install our hardware, ventilation IP rating etc.) when submitting a proposal.
Careful planning minimises downtime when installing our equipment.

HARMONIC FILTRATION
Harmonics can be silent killer causing malfunction, shutdown and premature failure
Electronically controlled equipment can be a major contributor to harmonics found in your electrical system. The more electronic devices you have on your electrical system, the more they can affect all the equipment within the systems. The nature of such electronics causes extremely quick pulses, creating a sine wave that becomes non-linear in shape. The end result affects the operation and longevity of your inter-connected systems and equipment.
Harmonics may affect specific points or virtually all aspects of your electrical system, including lowering your power factor, which raises your electricity costs.
How do you get rid of harmonics? One preferred method is to filter them out of your electrical system. Most filters will eliminate some harmonics, but not all. We have, when necessary, harmonic filters built into our Power Factor Correction equipment. We can also supply and install active and passive harmonic filters when deemed necessary, following a detailed analysis of your network.
