Polymer Product Overview
Polymer strengthened roads have been constructed both nationally and internationally for over 25 years. While the original polymer strengthened roads were stronger than conventional roads initially, further research has improved the technology significantly.
The polymers have exceptional wet and dry strength. Very little to no maintenance is required to keep the structures in good condition. The construction of polymer strengthened roads and dams is far less complicated than that of standard engineered roads, dams, etc., with resultant benefits:
Costs are significantly reduced by:
- at least half to achieve the same or stronger mPA strength required
- three quarters of the time taken to construct a road/ dam.
- little to no maintenance
- little to no base material needing to be trucked in –the polymer binds with in-situ soils to create a stable, flexible and waterproof base pavement
Additional savings:
- carbon credits can be claimed for using the product
- the new surface saves hugely on tyre friction and maintenance costs.
Environmentally the polymers are:
- verified safe for people and the environment
- made from all natural products harvested on a sustainable basis
- non-hazardous and safe for the environment.
